How to Create a Cutting Device
Create Cutting Devices within ONYX Align that can be tied to Print Jobs or Modifiers. Cutting Devices allow you to account for the costs of using the cutting devices within your shop.
Table of Contents
(1) Navigate to Configuration > Cost Management > Cutting Devices
(2) Click "+Add"
(3) Provide information within Cutter Details

Name |
The name that will be displayed for this Cutting Device throughout the system. |
|
Minimum Time |
The minimum amount of time able to be computed for this Cutting Device when it is used. This allows for some amount of time to be computed for the Cutting Device no matter what. |

Operational Cost |
The estimated cost per hour for operating this Cutting Device (excluding labor). |
|
Labor |
The Labor that is tied to the Cutting Device. |
|
Labor Rate |
The percentage amount of time labor is required in relation to cut time. For example, if this value were set to 50% and you had a cut time of 10 minutes, then the cut labor time would be 5 minutes (50% of 10 minutes). |
(4) Configure Cutter Speeds
(4.1) Click on the yellow plus icon within Cutter Speeds
(4.2) Enter in the name of the Cutter Speed
(4.3) Enter in the speed (in / s)
(4.4) Add additional Cutter Speeds as needed
(5) Click "Save"
