Background Color Behind Marks
It is important to note that this is a cutter-specific option and may not work for your device.
We have added capabilities for background printing behind registration marks and barcodes. This is an exciting addition that will be highly useful. These two features address printing and cutting on dark, transparent, or reflective substrates.
The first feature is for the Graphtec FC9000. More cutters will be added with the release and as time passes.

Completing both steps below will prepare you to print marks and barcodes with a background color. This is highly useful for dark, clear, or reflective media.
The example provided was set up using yellow as the background color. However, you may choose a different color based on your printer and the media used.
Step 1 - Media configuration
Under mark ink selection must be first configured in Media Manager, and the print must use the corresponding media profile configuration.
Step 2 - Configure Graphtec FC9000
-
Select the “Print Under Marks” option to turn on this feature. This prints a buffer under marks and barcodes.
-
Once “Print Under Marks” is turned on, you have the option to specify the under-mark area that is printed.
Flood Fill Behind Marks
The option to add a flood fill behind marks can be used with devices not currently implemented with the revised background area behind marks.
