Preferences  

The Preferences option controls some basic options in Job Editor.

 

You can open the Preferences dialog by clicking File > Preferences.

 

The Display options (Figure 1) controls the ICC Monitor Profile used by Job Editor. Monitor profiles help ensure that the color seen on your screen is the same color produced by your printer.

 

You can choose any of the following options:

  • Don't Use Any Monitor Profile - This option disables monitor profiles.
  • Use the Default Monitor Profile - This option uses the default monitor profile included with your monitor.
  • Use a Specific Monitor Profile - This option allows you to select a monitor profile built specifically for your needs. When using this option, the Path and Select options become active. The Path option designates the location of the monitor profile you want to use. The Select option allows you to browse to it.

 

The Settings options (Figure 2) controls how Job Editor handles images and jobs. 

  • Display settings template information - This option shows template information.

  • Always Browse for Job Files - Mark this option if you want to specify a name for your job that is not the same as the file name of your image.
  • Automatically Preview PostScript Files - This option allows you to automatically preview PostScript files. If this checkbox is not selected, you must click Preview to generate the PostScript preview.
  • Use High Resolution Preview for PostScript Files - This option creates a high resolution preview for PostScript files. You should use this option if you need to zoom in on your image.
  • Use Interpolation when Previewing Images - This option reduces the jagged edge on low resolution raster images.
  • Most Recent File List - This option allows you to determine the number of recently opened files that will be displayed in the File Menu. To open a recently opened file, click File  and then the recently opened file you want to display.
