The Display options (Figure 1) controls the ICCICC (International Color Consortium) A group of hardware and software companies dedicated to the development of a specification that is operating system independent and provides the digital imaging, printing and related industries with a data format for defining the color and reproduction characteristics of devices and their related media Monitor ProfileA profile that describes the color characteristics of a display device. used by Job Editor. Monitor profiles help ensure that the color seen on your screen is the same color produced by your printer.

 

You can choose any of the following options:

• Don't Use Any Monitor Profile1. A method of defining and compensating for the color shifts in an image as it is shown on a monitor and printed on a media. 2. A specific Printer/Ink/MediaA paper or other substrate that the printer creates images on. combination in RIP-Queue. - This option disables monitor profiles.
• Use the Default Monitor Profile - This option uses the default monitor profile included with your monitor.
• Use a Specific Monitor Profile - This option allows you to select a monitor profile built specifically for your needs. When using this option, the Path and Select options become active. The Path option designates the location of the monitor profile you want to use. The Select option allows you to browse to it.

The Settings options (Figure 2) controls how Job Editor handles images and jobs. 

• Display settings template information - This option shows template information.

• Always Browse for Job Files - Mark this option if you want to specify a name for your job that is not the same as the file name of your image.
• Automatically Preview PostScript Files - This option allows you to automatically preview PostScript files. If this checkbox is not selected, you must click Preview to generate the PostScript preview.
• Use High ResolutionThe number of dots available to represent graphic detail in a given area. On a computer screen, resolution is usually measured in pixels per inch (ppi). On a printer, the resolution is measured in dots per inch, or dpi. Halftone1. An image in which continuous tones are simulated by regular patterns (screens) of small dots. 2. A process for creating images. Screening can be done at different angles and the line density varies over a wide range (50 – 500 lines per inch). Printing a black & white photograph on a press or printer requires the creation of a single halftone. Four color process printing requires a separate halftone for each of the process colors. See also Luminance., Screen Angle. resolution measurements are in lines per inch, or LPI. See also Screen Ruling. Preview for PostScript Files - This option creates a high resolution preview for PostScript files. You should use this option if you need to zoom in on your image.
• Use InterpolationProcess of increasing the apparent resolution of a raster image by using either a bi-cubic or sequential algorithm to create new dots in between the existing dots. when Previewing Images - This option reduces the jagged edge on low resolution raster images.
• Most Recent File List - This option allows you to determine the number of recently opened files that will be displayed in the File Menu. To open a recently opened file, click File  and then the recently opened file you want to display.
