PDF Soft Proofs:
PDF Soft Proofs provide a quick visual reference for internal and external use before printing.
There are several ways to create a soft proof for a job:
Generate a PDF Soft Proof of jobs in RIP-Queue. Soft Proofs can be configured in Quick Sets to generate automatically, or Soft Proofs can be generated "on-the-fly" by right-clicking on a job that has been ripped.
Generate a PDF Soft Proof of a job in Editor. Soft Proofs can be set to generate automatically, or Soft Proofs can be generated "on-the-fly" by clicking the "Generate Soft Proof" button in the Soft Proof tab.
There are different available options for a soft proof:
- Generate Soft Proof at RIP Time: Generates a pdf soft proof in the folder specified after a job has been submitted to RIP-Queue and during processing of the job
- Create high resolution proof: Generates a higher resolution pdf proof of the job, which can be useful if more detail in a soft proof is desired to represent the printed output. This may also result in a larger file size.
- Display cut paths: Adds a preview of the cut paths in the job to the soft proof
- Add pages for Job Information: Enabling this feature adds extra pages to the soft proof listing various information about the job, similar to what the print label will provide on the printed output
- Page Size: Selects the page size to be used for the pdf soft proof
- Orientation: Selects the page orientation to be used for the pdf soft proof
- Image/Logo: The options are None, ONYX Logo (default), or a custom tif, jpg, or png logo
