Color Correction
Color Correction allows you to apply Color Correction Filters to your image. These filters modify the color of your image. For more information on Color Corrections, see Color Correction Tab or Color Correction Filter. The [Color Correction] option in the Advanced Quick Set Options allows you to determine which Color Correction Filter will be used with your jobs. Before you can use a filter, you must either create one in Job Editor or import a filter using the [Import] button. NOTE: If you do not have Job Editor, contact your sales representative for an upgrade To access the [Color Correction] option in RIP-Queue: Create Color Correction Filters in Job Editor (Figure 1). In RIP-Queue, open the Advanced Quick Set Options by clicking Edit Quick Sets > Edit > Advanced or go to Configure Printer icon > Quick Sets tab > [New ] or [Edit] button > Advanced, and select [Color Correction] from a treerom a tree (Figure 2). Select the Color Correction Filter you want to use and click [Import] button. Click [OK]. What is the difference between Color Correction Filters and Profiles? Although there are many pros and cons for using both Color Correction Filters and Profiles. Profiles are highly recommended because of their accuracy, usability, and other features. Following is a list of several differences: Accuracy - Profiles are color mappings created by an actual physical color device that reads color. Color Corrections are manual adjustments that are done by the user looking at the color on the screen or on the printed image. Because of these differences, Profiles are much more accurate. Convenience - Profiles are more difficult to create and may require color devices. Color Corrections are easier to create, but may require a long trial-and-error process. Usability - Profiles are automatically associated with the printer's media information. Color Corrections must be imported manually. Processing speed - Images using profiles take longer than those using Color Corrections. Compatibility - Color Corrections change significantly with each image. Profiles are designed to be accurate for any type of image. Workflow - Profiles are designed to ensure accurate color automatically. Color Corrections are generally used to tweak an image at the last minute. If you consistently have to use Color Corrections, there is probably a problem with your workflow (usually involving the creation or conversion of the original image files). Does Job Editor come with default Color Correction Filters? Because Color Correction Filters are specific to particular images and printers, Job Editor does not install default Color Correction Filters. How do I apply a Color Correction Filter to a job? Whenever an image is opened in Job Editor, an empty Color Correction Filter is assigned to the job. Once you use any of the tools on the [Color Correction] tab, the filter applies the modifications. To apply a different filter, or to display a different filter, use the "Filter" Dialog. See Color Correction Tab - Filter for more information. How do I apply a Color Correction Filter to all of my jobs? You can apply a Color Correction Filter to jobs automatically using the Advanced Quick Set options in RIP-Queue. See Color Correction Filter for more information. Use caution when applying a Filter to multiple jobs because it can cause unpredictable colors. To access the [Color Correction] option in RIP-Queue:

Create Color Correction Filters in Job Editor (Figure 1).
In RIP-Queue, open the Advanced Quick Set Options by clicking Edit Quick Sets > Edit > Advanced or go to Configure Printer icon > Quick Sets tab > [New ] or [Edit] button > Advanced, and select [Color Correction] from a treerom a tree (Figure 2).
Select the Color Correction Filter you want to use and click [Import] button.
Click [OK].
